La construction d’une intimité religieuse. Les pratiques paraliturgiques des fidèles dans la cathédrale de Tirana

The purpose of this article is to follow believers’ every step in the cathedral Saint-Paul of Tirana (Albania), to describe precisely their movements, theirs gestures and their attitudes out of liturgy’s time. After having shown how they appropriate the sacred space of the sanctuary and how they define this space with this appropriation, the author tries to give a reading of their gestures (which could be called common in a first time or associated with popular piety) in order to show how the public space which is a cathedral can be a place where a believer is closed to the divine.
