Labour Market Participation and Marital Violence against Women in Rural Bangladesh: Men Reports

The main objective of this research was to examine the impact of women’s employment on marital violence in rural Bangladesh. The present study findings reveales that different factors are related to the association between women’s labour market participation and marital violence. For example, women’s age, women’s education, husbands’ educational attainment, women’s income, husbands’ income, occupational status and women’s property status have a significant effect on married women and their exposure to marital violence against women in rural Bangladesh.
