Reproductive health concerns the well-being and care of both mother and child, encompassing comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care. Education and awareness regarding antenatal care and nutrition have posed challenges for the Birhor, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group in Chhattisgarh, who reside in remote areas. This study examines the awareness of reproductive health and nutrition among Birhor women living in the Raigarh and Korba districts of Chhattisgarh. Primary data were collected through non-participant observation, interview schedules, focus group discussions, and case studies, while secondary data were obtained from published research papers, books, and relevant government websites. The study aims to understand the knowledge and practices of Birhor women concerning reproductive and child health, antenatal and postnatal care, institutional delivery, immunisation, menstrual hygiene, and nutrition. It also highlights the urgent need for culturally sensitive health education programmes, improved health services, and active community participation. Collaborative efforts by government and non-government organisations are essential to bridge the knowledge gap and promote positive health behaviours.
